First Light

We liked the location, very close to Kensington Gardens and the beach ! We like the size of the rooms: lounge, bedrooms and family bathroom in particular. The rooms were decorated with care and the furnishings were well? - matched.

There were a few issues that we raised with the maintenance help line line. The cot we requested had not been put up. There was a leak under the kitchen sink. There is an issue with damp in the kitchen cupboards, which, the owner told me, originates from next door. There were no shower mats and one person in or party slipped over, luckily not injuring themselves too badly. The stairs are very steep and quite narrow. It certainly gives you a workout, if you're staying on the top floor! Outside the property, the parking can be tricky. We had two cars and were able to park on our side of the road, but we did need to be vigilant. The flats on the other side of the road have residents, who like to play their music loudly. The owner very kindly met us and apologised for the difficulties we had. Mats were delivered and a lovely bottle of wine!

We all loved the whole house, definite bedroom size envy! Bath was amazing! Brilliant that a stairgate was provided. Loads of room for the 7 of us.

Sadly the two sofas near the bay window were very wobbly, and one of the legs actually came off when my 9 year old sat on it. We did report this. Thankfully she wasn't hurt, and there were plenty of other seats. Not an issue, but no coffee pods were provided as stated.
