L'Echappée douce - Mer & Port à pied

A lovely first floor apartment, very close to the port and the centre of town. Decorated nicely and very clean. Spacious bedroom, very comfy bed and lovely bed linen and towels, all made up on arrival and with no extra costs added. Spacious open-plan living area with small, well-equipped kitchen area at one end, perfect for a few days. Great communication from Isabelle throughout. We arrived in Courselles-Sur-Mer mid-afternoon and were able to check in early at no extra charge, which we greatly appreciated. Free off-street parking at no additional cost, but be aware that this is accessed via a narrow lane (our car is large and just about fitted).

The main entrance and stairs are shared with other apartments, and are not very clean or well-kept. We appreciate that this is probably out of the owners control, but do not let it put you off, as the apartment itself is lovely. The stairs to the apartment are quite narrow and steep, and not the easiest for carrying bulky and heavy luggage. Again, this is a feature of the property rather than something the owner can control, but we are noting it in case this would be a problem for someone with any mobility concerns. The parking area/courtyard is not well-kept, this is just a cosmetic thing overall but it could be tidied up and maintained better for a nicer first impression. As noted above, access to the private parking area is narrow, our car only just fitted in and out. We know this is out of the owners control, we are just noting it for others to be aware.

L'appartement est d'une propriété irréprochable. Tout est parfait, la literie, les draps (lit fait à notre arrivée) le linge de maison sans parler de l'équipement qui est de loin le mieux que nous avons trouvé dans une location de vacances. L'emplacement est parfait comme camp de base pour visiter tous les sites du débarquement, le parking privé un atout considérable . Un bémol toutefois pour les parties communes qui ont grandement besoin de rafraîchissement...c'est pour cette raison que je n'ai pas donné 10. Merci à Isabelle pour son professionnalisme.
