This property is not suitable for guests with mobility challenges. The home includes multiple stairs, uneven surfaces, and narrow doorways that may make accessibility difficult for those using wheelchairs or walkers.

Location is wonderful to access the mountains and head towards Cherokee or the Smoky Mountain National Park, or enjoy the town of Maggie Valley. The cabin was well stocked with amenities. The layout of the cabin was nice for accommodating our crew of 8 and a blind dog. The porch was nice to sit and listen to the creek. The area down by the creek was peaceful and we found ourselves sitting down there chatting a few times during our stay. The beds and rooms were comfortable and the upstairs shower had amazing water pressure. A few items of mention, the decking and steps on the exterior of the cabin of the cabin are older and can be quite slippery and slick if it has rained, which we did get to experience during our stay. There is not a larger trash can to store the bags once the trash in the living/kitchen/dining space is full, maybe a larger can down in the game room space near the garage door could help improve trash storage for larger group stays. Otherwise our party of 8 loved this home and hope to be able to book our stay again next year for our framily reunion in April. Thank you for allowing us to make your home our home for the long weekend.

The host was super fast and responsive to my messages which was greatly appreciated. The house was a little dated and a piece of the ceiling in the kitchen was missing but the surroundings and creek ambience were so beautiful. It would be a lovely place to be outside, but temps for us were quite chilly. I could definitely see coming back when it was just a bit warmer to enjoy it.

The host was welcoming and the house was perfect for our family. Love that it’s on the creek and at the foot of Cataloochee. The hot tub and fire pit were a nice bonus at the end of the day.
