The bedroom offers a plush King size bed with windows that frame the mesmerizing ocean views. Its cabin-like vibe feels super cozy and comfortable with carpet throughout. Stroll down the street for a long walk on one of Trinidad's most popular dog friendly and family beaches. If you enjoy surfing, Moonstone beach is a favorite for beginners and more experienced surfers. The sea stacks are also a haven for rock climbers! After a day at the beach head back up the hill and stop in at Moonstone Grill for a cocktail at one of the only ocean view bars in Humboldt County with delicious, local food. Fall asleep to the soothing sound of ocean waves and waking to the marvel of the ever-changing tide and patterns of Little River meeting the Pacific.
Inside the house, you'll find comfort and simplicity in perfect harmony. The living area features an open layout, complete with a built in work space for travelers needing to work while away and a comfortable seating arrangement that allows you to bask in the magnificent ocean scenery or enjoy watching movies on the 65 inch Smart T.V. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide uninterrupted views of the waves. Plenty of space to sit quietly and do a puzzle while soaking up the views. The small but complete galley style, dine in kitchen has everything you'll need enjoy preparing meals. The bathroom is located down the short hallway to the bedroom and offers a stall shower.
There are two decks to enjoy, an upper one located off of the living room and a lower hidden gem with South facing sunshine it is the perfect spot to start and end your every day! Grill local fresh fish on the barbecue and enjoy dinner al fresco!
Important Notes:
** Guest reserving home must be 25 years or older, be staying at the property the entire time and will be considered the responsible party for this booking.
** Upon completion of booking reservation guests will be required to sign a rental agreement agreeing to Trinidad Retreats rules and regulations.
** This home IS pet friendly for 1 dog only with a pet fee. Dog must not be left unattended inside or outside of the home.
** This home has "Ring", a security system with a front door, exterior camera and audio recording for homeowner security purposes only.
** Parking is limited, 2 onsite parking spaces provided on the driveway. No garage parking and no off-street parking.
** For safety, the wood burning stove is not accessible to guests.
** This home is NOT furnished with a washer and dryer. A local laundromat, Suds & Duds is located in nearby McKinleyville.

Beautiful ocean view with quick access to Moonstone Beach. Comfortable and cozy house in a quiet area. Loved the amount of natural light and ocean breezes that came thru the bedroom windows. All of the furniture was comfy including the outdoor chairs. The grill worked well the kitchen was well appointed.

A lovely beach house located close enough to the mountains and the big trees. Beach house was nicely appointed and a great stay for three days for a couple. Bed was really comfortable and kitchen had everything you needed. While the weather was cool, we didn't get that much of a chance to sit on the porch, one day, the sun came out and we watched the sunset. So relaxing. Trinidad is really the best place to stay out of all of the small cities near the Redwood State Park. Stay away from Eureka.

Property was clean and wonderful view of ocean. The property mngt. Was great. Only issue was ants. Which is a problem on the coast.

The property was clean.
The kitchen was well equipped.
The house is very, very old and needs to be updated : the house smelled damp, which is understandable, considering it has not been updated in 30 years or so, and the newer windows and doors available would reduce that significantly. It definitely feels like walking into a time capsule.
Getting to the place at night is a bit tough, because the GPS picks up the house right below it on the hill, and since the street name signs are difficult to read at night it adds to the adventure I guess.
The fire place had a sign saying: Do not use.
The bedroom heater had a sign : out of order.
The bathroom had one of those fancy toilets with the built in bidet, but the remote control that runs it was not available.
The shower sliding doors came off their track every time the door was used.
The fan in the bathroom was just noise, no air movement at all.
There was no hot tub, even though the contract had a huge section dedicated to tub risk and care, so that was disappointing, but my mistake for not paying attention to fine print (tub, if available).
