About this house rental
Unwind with the whole family at this peaceful, historic 4 bedroom/2 bathroom home, steps away from the Battlefield in downtown Fredericksburg. This home is walking distance to the college, the train station, the farmer’s market, the canal path, the river walk, as well as all the downtown restaurants and shops.
The house features a twin bedroom downstairs off the dining room. Upstairs there are 2 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms: a queen bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a bedroom with a full-size bed, and a bedroom with two twin-size beds and a twin pull-out futon. Bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Pack and play and high chair are available on request. The washer and dryer are off the kitchen; laundry detergent provided. The kitchen is stocked with basic cooking and baking supplies, coffee maker, keurig, coffee and creamer, toaster, and dishwasher. Easy to find, street parking was safe, slept six comfortably. We enjoyed eating there, played games in LR and at DR table. We really enjoyed our stay.

I was there with 4 guys for annual civil war trip. As a free lance historian, this spot not only was perfect for us, but this house sits on the epicenter of the line of battle of the union assaults versus Cobb/ Kershaw in the sunken road wall beneath Brompton. 13 seperate attacks. Anyways, the house is nice, clean, good water pressure, good AC, and location was superb. The sunken tavern food is off the hook amazing. If i stay in Fredericksburg again, it will be there.

This was so convenient for a visit with my daughter at the university. We were close to the sunken road, tavern for diner and walking distance to downtown. And let's not forget about the battlefield restaurant for breakfast. Fantastic.

The listing is misleading. It will sleep 7. The “sofa bed” is a joke. It is really a little couch about 4 feet wide in the room with the two twin beds and it folds out into a 4 inch thick “mattress.” The place needs a paint job in the worst way along with the cleaning of the patio furniture. No way to enjoy the nice weather on the patio due to how dirty it was. Pictures to come. There are cobwebs and dead insects stuck in them. The location is good as it is close to Main Street that has many restaurants.
