About this cabin rental
Just in case you don't know, we at Lydia have countless repeat customers… but we call them "FRIENDS"!! When we first opened, one special gal, a writer, would come to visit us about twice a month. She claimed this was her cabin and this was the place that some of her best work would come to fruition!! She would ONLY stay in CABIN #4 "SUGAR SHACK". A writer of children's books, our friend is in her late forties but has the heart of a child, and all she did was call everyone "Sugar" no matter who you were.... Male, female, dog, horse or farm animal that was your name. Our sweet friend left the area and traveled across country as she had finally been offered a job she could not refuse. Here's to you Sugar…your success is well deserved.

This lovely cabin was exactly what we needed for a private relaxing getaway. We truly felt like we were in our own little world. Huge bonus, the bed was very comfortable.

As frequent customers, we loved our stay. However, Sugar Shack could use a little TLC. Most of the hot tub buttons don’t work anymore. I think only a few jets worked. Also, The carpenter bees have really done a number on the wood outside. There were a few spider webs around the ceiling fan which was out of our reach to clean. As always, we had a great stay, but Sugar Shack could use some love these days.

Nice quiet clean cabin. Only problem we had was sharing the back deck with the carpenter bees. They were not aggressive but a nuisance. They are really doing a lot of damage to them cabin.

We woke at 5am Saturday freezing !! Our power was out. We realize that is no fault of yours. However , our fire would not stay lit for long (yes we kept the timer on and renewed ) we couldn’t cook breakfast and couldn’t shower. We would have run out to grab food but ,we were blocked in by 3 large REC trucks. We didn’t get power until 11:00 am. While waiting we ate chips and snacks wrapped in blankets trying to stay warm. We decided to just go to lunch. Our hot tub buttons were broken on some and our jets were not very good. We tried the restaurant at the lodge and enjoyed it. The wedding above us was very loud / stomping but, we just said they sure were having a good time. The cabin could use another light over the fire place or near. We come every year and will be back next year !!! And, I would consider the sugar shack again.
