Guests of Bear Necessities enjoy all the exclusive amenities offered thru the Wintergreen Advantage program which is only available to those booking thru this site. Bear Necessities is conveniently located right on the Tyro ski slope, and central to the adventures found at the Mountain Inn, Discovery Ridge, Lake Monocan, and local restaurants. You will have plenty of space to sprawl out and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Get ready for the clear night sky full of the brilliant constellations from the back deck. Perfect for the cold weather, winter nights, or fresh summer evenings, it’s the place to unwind. The open floor plan offers hours of entertainment. Enjoy your meals together around the eight-seat dining table after a day of skiing down the mountain or hiking the trails of Wintergreen. Unwind in the living room for movie night or board games by the comfy gas fireplace. The large windows are especially idyllic when snow is falling softly.
Bear Necessities is fully equipped to be your home away from home. The kitchen is furnished with stainless steel appliances and, of course, all the coffee you need each morning for viewing the sunrise. Two bedrooms on the main level and a full open loft, there is space to comfortably accommodate 6 guest. The main level bedrooms offer one King and One Queen bed, and a walk-up spiral staircase leads to the full size bed and a twin.

This is a great cabin at Wintergreen. Ample space for our family of six, great view right off the slope. It’s part of the Wintergreen resort, so staying here gives you access to resort amenities, which is nice. However, because it’s part of the resort and not an independent VRBO, you’re better off booking directly with the resort, you’ll save a bit of money that way and still have all the perks.
