About this cabin rental
Three night minimum needed over summer, weekends and holidays Village Creek Lodge is a 7 Bedroom / 2 Bathroom Log Home with a swimming pool, hot tub jacuzzi & Large fishing pond stocked with Bass, Bluegill, & Catfish. The cabin is set in the pristine countryside nestled in a valley surrounded by towering bluffs near the Mississippi River. It is just a short drive from the beautiful historic river town of Lansing Iowa with shopping, friendly bars, and great restaurants. The lodge is perfect for a relaxing and peaceful mid-week break or weekend getaway in the scenic Driftless Area of NE Iowa. Explore the The Upper Mississippi River and its floodplain lakes and backwaters offering a wide range of fishing opportunities or stay and bask by the pool during the day. In the evenings , enjoy a crackling fire in the fire–pit while listening to the Great Horned Owls hooting from the timbered bluffs and the coyotes howling. If the weather doesn’t cooperate you can always enjoy the Hot Tub Jacuzzi, HD TV, high speed internet, or a friendly game of pool in the entertainment room downstairs. Village Creek Lodge is your perfect getaway with family or friends this summer or fall. This Lodge can sleep up to 18. Some additional guest could be allowed for an extra fee.

Loved the location. Secluded and quiet but close to town. Beautiful property, large main floor, perfect for family events. Cozy, living rooms and ample space for everyone to enjoy. Pool table was a lot of fun! Hot tub was amazing. We look forward to a summer stay.

Yes it is a cabin in the woods, it isnt perfect. However it was highly enjoyable, and Cory was very attentive and plesant to deal with. Only requests is more curtians over the windows.
We had the pleasure of witnessing a geostorm and the northern lights. Didnt even have to go outside because we could see them from the sunroom downstairs!
I do feel like a vacuum, a swiffer, and a duster would be nice to have around the cabin but we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.

Facilities were good. We really enjoyed the black-and-white cat that would come around pretty much every day. We named him, Alex. He even came back to tell us goodbye the morning we left.
