About this house rental
Summary:
Location is everything when you're seeking the perfect beach vacation! Toes in the Sand is an updated 2nd row home with gorgeous ocean views and a quick, two minute walk to the beach. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine on the covered porches - With any luck, you'll even see dolphins at play! The open floor plan is great for vacationing with family and friends. This home provides easy access to Publix, Middleton Park, Splash Pad, and Athletic Courts that are all within walking distance.
The Space:
This 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is just steps from the beach and features gorgeous beach views. The open concept kitchen/living/dining area allows meals to be prepped in the fully stocked kitchen, while conversing with family and friends.
Relax in front of the large screened living room television after a fun-filled day on the beach, or experience ocean breezes and beautiful views from the covered ocean side decks. Imagine yourself relaxing in the warm sun while sipping your morning coffee and watching for dolphins swimming just across the way.
Two bedrooms have queen sized beds, one bedroom features a twin-over-double bunk bed, and the fourth bedroom includes two twin-over-twin bunkbeds. All bedrooms have flat screened televisions and large closets. Family friendly, we include books, games and puzzles for your rainy-day or evening activities.
Enjoy the convenient access to Ocean Crest Pier, Oak Island Golf Course, Local Shops and Restaurants. This home is walking distance to Middleton Park which offers basketball hoops, tennis courts, splash pad, playgrounds and more!
Parking is available under this piling home, and has plenty of space for your boat. The outdoor shower is a private, easy way to rinse off the sand after a beach day.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire home, except for a couple of locked owner's closets.
The Neighborhood:
The home is centrally located and is just minutes to the Oak Island Pier, Ocean Crest Pier, Middleton Park, the Splash Pad water park, playgrounds, restaurants and shops.
Getting Around:
Getting around on Oak Island is easy. In addition to traditional vehicles, we find that our guests enjoy walking, biking, or even renting an E-Bike or golf cart. (please keep in mind that golf cart drivers and passengers must follow the same rules of the road as cars, and are not allowed on streets with a speed limit greater than 35 mph).
Whatever your mode of transportation, you'll find you are greeted everywhere you go by a smile or a friendly wave.

There is a pack n play available to guests that we keep on property as well as a full sized crib. Please remember to bring your own pack n play AND/OR crib sheet as these linens are not provided through linen service.
We provide a few essential amenities to get you started on your vacation, including a couple rolls of bathroom tissue, paper towels, hand soap, dish washing soap, a couple laundry pods & dishwasher tabs, as well as some extra trash bags. You'll want to bring more for use throughout your vacation, and will likely want to bring beach towels as well.
Your linens will be delivered in wrapped and labeled packages just prior to your arrival by a professional linen service company, and include sheets for all beds, bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths for each individual, kitchen towels and dish cloths, as well as bath mats. The house will have pillows, blankets and quilts. You'll want to be sure to bring beach towels!

Our co-host, Mariah, lives on the island and is available to you should you have any questions during your visit.

Our stay at this beach house was absolutely perfect! We had a total of nine people — two families, each with small children — and the layout couldn’t have been better. Each side of the house had one adult bedroom and one kids’ bedroom, which made things so easy for sleeping arrangements and keeping everyone comfortable. The beach access was incredibly close — probably no more than 20 yards from the door — so we could be on the sand in seconds. The host was super communicative from start to finish, and everything about the house lived up to or exceeded our expectations. Everyone had a wonderful time, and my buddy’s girlfriend especially enjoyed the trip. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!

Had my four adult daughters on OKI for a long weekend, and this house was great. Communication with the host was outstanding. Would love to rent this property again.

Great beach house with a great location. We have two young children, and the set up was great for the kids. They had lots of toys, a step stool, children's utensils and plates, booster seat, and rooms, that were perfect for their ages. The beach is right across these street, and the park a few minutes away, allowing us to take the kids back and forth multiple times each day.It was a clean house with cute beach themed decorations, and stocked with the what you would need.Andrea was a great host and always quick to respond.We will definitely be coming back again.
