About this house rental

This fully-furnished multi-story house built in 1687 with a private terrace and small garden is in the center of a medieval town. Facade and shutters were recently repainted. Top floor was renovated and converted from an attic to a lofted bedroom/bath in 2019.

Level 0 - Living room with sofa bed, small work desk, TV, half bathroom, washer and dryer, kitchen and dining table, terrace, and garden.

Level 1 - Master bedroom with queen-sized bed and full closet. Master bathroom with radiator. Please keep out of locked second bedroom - this is private for the owners only.

Level 2 - 1 king bed, 1 queen bed. Dresser and coat rack with hangers. Note that this is a lofted space, there is no bedroom door, just a low wall for privacy from the winding staircase leading to the 1st level - see photos for reference. Full private bathroom with radiator.

Chasselay is a village between Lyon and Villefrance-sur-Saone. All within 5 min. walking distance:
Minimart/bodega, pharmacy, Italian cafe, bakery, butcher, specialty wine bar, renowned 1-Michellin star gourmet restaurant, historical museum, bank, library, church, hair salons, weekly farmers market and a flower shop.

For the sportive, there is a soccer stadium, the Chasselay Tennis Club, and plenty of hiking and biking trails in the hills of Mont-Verdun all within 15 min. walking distance.

City center of Lyon, known as the Gourmet Capital of France, and Beaujolais wine country are both 30 min drives away. Lyon to Paris via TGV train is 2 hrs. The closest commuter rail station, Saint-Germain-au-Mont-d'Or, is less than a 10 min drive away. There is a bus stop across the street on the main road - Bus 21 can take you to Lyon in a little over an hour.

Grenoble, Lac d'Annecy, Geneva, and the Gorges of L'Ardeche, where you can rent boats, kayaks, etc. make great day trips and are all about 2 hrs away by car. The French Alps and best ski stations are about 2-3 hrs - Courchevel and Mont Blanc - while Lake Como will take about 6.5 hrs.
