Casa Barata

Very good location, close to Maastricht. There was everything I needed in the room for a short stay. The TV with a broad offer of channels in various languages. A fridge in the room was a huge plus. Exceptionally big shower, much appreciated. No problem with the on-street parking.

No air-conditioning, therefore at least a fan would be much appreciated. I found the bedding too soft, not comfortable. The bathroom was separated from the bedroom with a curtain, which I found odd.

Schoon en goed

Qua gebouwen wordt het drukker, veel nieuwbouw.

I needed a place close enough to Maastricht for two nights and my budget was low. This place worked very well for me. I appreciated very much the toiletries provided, as well as the little fridge, the coffee machine and the water kettle. My room was in the back of the building, so I didn't hear any noise from the road. The owner brought me a fan, because I was there during a heat wave, and I also appreciated his effort to make my stay more comfortable. Although the area around the building is not urban, there was a beautiful promenade in the border of the canal. You can take a walk, relax and see the sunset.

Close to the building there's some construction work and some tractors come to clean the terrain. There just one bar, one night shop, one ice cream restaurant and a kebab/pizza place in a walk distance. I stayed for 3 days in that region and didn't see a single bus running, so if you don't want to drive, you should choose another place. In my case I used a bike and locked it on the street not far from the building.
