Backpackers Karma Home Stay

Location is between western and eastern group of the temples and you can walk to each site in 15 mins. It was nice of Raj to pick me up from the train station on last min notice for 150inr and drop me off for the train for the same price the next day. The food price is extremely reasonable compared with other hostels I stayed at and very tasty too. You can fill drinking water at his home. Raj will help with anything you ask.

Its clean. Could be more clean:) room is very basic but for this price it’s good value.

We have spent 3 nights at Karma Homestay and it was great! Raj, the owner, is super nice, welcoming and friendly. He did and organized everything for us : pick up from the train station, booked tickets online for the Western temples and drove us there back and forth, safari tour to see tigers (and we saw two of them in a beautiful national park with many other beautiful animals, amazing experience!!), fresh beer on request, AC in the room (we first had a fan but it was too hot when we were there in April) and drop off at the bus one hour away from Khajuraho. The bedroom is big, comfortable and clean. The area is peaceful, quiet and perfectly located between the Western area temples and the Eastern area temples. There are many restaurants 10min walk from the guesthouse, but Raj can also cook dinner if you prefer eating at the guesthouse. There is a common room where you can chill and where you have breakfast (we had Indian breakfast, but omelet and bread as mentioned on the other comments would have been completely fine too). Plus, you can fill your bottles for free in the lobby, with safe and filtered fresh water, that was very convenient! It was nice to discuss and exchange with Raj about every subjects. He is very interesting and a beautiful human being! To sum up : perfect place to stay in Khajuraho with an amazing host!

Raj, the host, was so helpful, he gave us advices for visiting and shopping in Kajuraho. He is a great host! The place is comfortable and clean, calm altough in the center of the city. We always had hot shower and delicious breakfast. If needed Raj mum can cook dinner for you for a fair price. Overall it was a great stay and great value for money. Raj is an honest person, working hard and loving spending time with people. Raj è abituato a lavorare con Italiani, il suo livello di servizi è top. Lo raccomando, ci siamo trovate molto bene. Il posto è basico, non ci sono fronzoli, ma acqua calda, camere pulite e good vibes.

Honestly this was the best stay on my India trip. Totally recommended.

Stayed for three days with no breakfast. Location was a little uncomfortable.
