Bălcescu Central Residence

* Excellent, very central location, within walking distance of all the main tourist attractions. * Very good value for money. * We booked two apartments, Unit B and Unit C, for two couples. Both units are located on the ground floor, within an inner courtyard shared with other separate apartments. One apartment was smaller, while the other was more spacious. * The inner courtyard has tables and chairs, as well as ashtrays, which is convenient for guests who smoke. * The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed for a short stay. * The apartments appear to have been renovated relatively recently, with modern bathrooms and kitchens and new furniture. Our bedroom had some nice vintage-style furniture, which was well maintained and gave the room some character. * Very easy self check-in. The host contacted me in advance via WhatsApp and provided very clear instructions, including photos, which made the whole process very straightforward. Communication with the host was also very good. * There is no dedicated parking, as the entrance is through a pedestrian area. However, we found paid street parking on a nearby street. We paid around 10 RON for the whole day through Parcare Sibiu app, and the same fee allowed parking in the city’s A, B and C parking zones.

* The apartment we stayed in (Unit C) was quite small. The bedroom felt a little cramped, and the bed was quite short for us as we are tall. There was a footboard at the end of the bed, which meant we could not extend our feet beyond it, making it a little uncomfortable for us when sleeping. * Our bedroom, the one with the exposed brick wall and the semi-circular LED lighting, is smaller in reality than it appears in the photos on Booking.com. * We noticed a few cobwebs in some areas, particularly in Unit C, on the decorative bedroom wall around the LED lighting. There was also no hygiene seal on the toilet. Overall, the apartment was clean, but we felt that the cleaning could have been more thorough, particularly when it came to removing cobwebs and dust from less accessible areas. * Although there were two of us staying in the apartment, only one small bottle of shower gel was provided. * In our friends’ apartment (Unit B), we only noticed on the day of check-out a large damp patch on the kitchen wall, which appeared to suggest a possible leak or water infiltration from the apartment above. I have attached a photo for reference.

In plus, internetul a mers foarte bine.

Totul a fost ok.
