Stayed for 2 nights in a deluxe acropolis view room. The room was modern with a huge bed which you could see the acropolis from..Breakfast was in the building a couple of doors down and the selection was ok.
The location was great right next to the oldest house in athens and a huge variety of bars and restaurants.

Esse is located in a really fantastic street very close to everything and we were able to walk everywhere. However sadly we were otherwise very disappointed with our stay. When we arrived there was no receptionist for over 20 minutes and I had to go and find a cleaner to find someone to check in. The room itself was nice and the team upgraded us, however there were some really basic elements which lets this hotel down - for example you only get one bottle of water for the whole stay, despite bottles of water in Athens costing less than 1e, our towels were changed for wet towels which hadn’t been dried one of the days which then took over 2 hours to be swapped and on our third day we returned at 3pm and our room still hadn’t been cleaned. When the room was cleaned, it was a very limited clean with no bed change and no glasses replaced. Breakfast was also disappointing - no fresh coffee (the machine said it was broken), orange cordial instead of fresh orange juice and no à la carte option despite that being advertised. Location fab but everything else very mediocre.
