SPOT Jelsum

Heerlijk plekje met ronddartelende kippen, 2 hondjes die vaak even komen buurten en uitzicht op een veld met schapen. Ideaal voor mensen die van het buitenleven houden! Sanitair, water en eettafel met stoelen zijn buiten, waardoor dit een heerlijk stekje is in de zomermaanden. Het appartementje is met creativiteit en oog voor detail ingericht, heel gezellig! De host (Nico) is heel vriendelijk, gastvrij en enthousiast. Het is niet groot en de bank is ook het bed, maar dat is niet storend. Heel fijn verblijf gehad!

Doordeweeks gaan er straaljagers over om te landen aan de overkant van de weg. Dat geeft wat lawaai, maar wel heel gaaf om te zien. In het weekend is het heerlijk stil!

Prachtig huisje, goed geïsoleerd, modern ingericht, van alle gemakken voorzien.

Nico was a great host. The room is a former carriage garage converted into living quarters. There is floor heating in the room, and the kitchenette is well equipped. The sofa bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom is outside, in the black wooden cabin that is a few meters away from the entrance in the room. The yard is quite large and you can light up a fire (and cook) outdoor. The surrounding area is beautiful and quiet (except for the rare moments when fighter jets fly out from the local air base).

Our only complaint is that some windows cannot be fully covered, which means that the light will wake you up very early in the Summer time.

Unique spot, great location. I came with a friend for an overnight stay, and we enjoyed the cute room with outdoor space and though separate, comfortable bathroom. You’re just 10 minutes from Leeuwarden center, and have a beautiful historic garden within 5walking minutes. Nico is a friendly and accommodating host also!
