This is an awesome property! All the comforts of home, including fresh flowers! Access was easy and communication was good.
However, the property description is not totally accurate.
The description indicates "Whole House" and "Parking Garage". Upon arrival we saw two other vehicles parked along side the garage. Assuming they were just probably being stored there, we shrugged it off. Next, we texted Family Time Vacation Rentals to find out how to gain access to the garage. That's when we found out we would not be allowed to have garage access. Carrying our luggage up many steps and a steep driveway was a challenge for 2 seniors, but we got settled and decided we'd make the best of things, and decided we needed to inform Booking.com about the false advertising and request compensation for not delivering what was stated in their listing. During our first night we heard a thumping noise downstairs and contacted Family Time Vacation Rentals again and after no response, we then texted Brian (as indicated on an information sign.. So, come to find out, the owners live downstairs! This is not a "whole house" rental. Another false statement on the listing. This was very upsetting. We came to Ogden to support our daughter who had just finished several rounds of chemo and was not well. Now having to deal with this irritation the entire time we were there didn't help our emotions. After sending numerous emails and filing a complaint with Booking.com's Customer Service, submitting screen shots and price comparisons, we still do not have resolution from Booking.com after 10 days. Another thing we learned from the owner was most people reserve this property on AirBnB. When I checked the listing there, it was about $1000 cheaper (which makes better sense with no garage access and having someone living downstairs. Booking.com claims to have a price-match policy, so we are also trying to recoup some funding using that route too. By now, as we travel home, we both feel disgusted with Booking.com!
