Very Spacious. Great social areas and size of property can accommodate large families and social gatherings.
We’re a family of 5 with x2 small children. Had a long travel on over night ferry. Initially asked for early check in however the owner said would be €120 due to cleaning etc. Was outside of budget decided not to bother.
We had arrived at 14:45 (15mins before check in). Night before I received 2 messages via booking.com with a welcome note and explaining how to gain access via a key lock. Attempted both codes and they didn’t work. Tried to contact owner and went straight to answer phone. Sent numerous messages and calls however, phone was off. We managed to get in via a back door that was unlocked.
We dropped off our belongings and went to meet family. This bothered us not having security - without knowing area etc, we didn’t feel comfortable. We also had expensive belongings.
My husband had to break the key lock box upon return to get the door key. Our children were hysterical as we stumbled in the dark trying to open it and they were scared that someone might break in. Being an unfamiliar place to them, you could hardly blame.
It was almost 11pm UK time that we heard back from owner after another half a dozen attempts later that evening. They were travelling during the time of our arrival on long haul. We got an immediate apology, granted, but we didn’t get the sense that the owner cared all too much when sharing our frustrations and challenged on providing house information or an alternative contact number. This was disappointing to say the least!
Things to improve on:
Provide alternative contact details if you are not contactable!!!
Every place we have rented over the years provides a booklet with house information and things to know around the area. This is the first time we have stayed at a property and didn’t have one. Useful information and very basic. Goes a long way.
Cleaning could have been a lot better. Main bathroom Shower had a lot of black hair in drain, from previous users. Despite cleaners only been in earlier that day.

The house is absolutely stunning. Perfect for large families or groups. There were 12 of us there ranging from 9 years old to 59 years old, and nobody had anything negative to say about the house. It was so spacious, clean, and modern. If I could live here, I would. The owner is super friendly, and nothing was ever too much. Will 100% be back again and will be highly recommending this place.
