Apartment near City Center

The apartment is really fabulous form all points of view: sleek new, decorated with taste and well equipped with appliances and houseware, it consists of one large room divided into three different areas (kitchen, dining room and sitting room), one bedroom with a large wardrobe and very comfortable queen size bed and a very nice bathroom with excellent shower, all spotlessly clean. The sitting room and the bedroom open on a balcony with a small table and chairs and a very handy drying rack. The owner was very kind, quick in answering all questions, both before and during the stay, and met me at the apartment to hand me the keys and explain everything although I arrived very late due to my flight. In the apartment I found some coffee, tea, sugar, detergent etc. which were more than enough for my first dayand turned out to be very useful since I arrived late on a Sunday night and couldn't go to the supermarket, just a few steps from the apartment, onky the following morning. I appreciated the location as well although it was not exactly in the city center or the more touristic areas. The metro station is about a 10-minute walk but there are also several closer buses taking you either to the center or to Piraeus in 15/20 minutes. There are cafés and reastaurants at just a few minutes from the apartment, so it's a great chance also to experience a real residential, and totally safe, neighborhood in Athens. I couldn't think of a better place to recommend to anyone traveling to Athens!

Actually, I was a bit surprised that in such a beautiful and well-equipped apartment there was no microwave, which can be very convenient for visitors staying out all day: something to think about! Though, there was a very efficient kettle, which almost made up for the lack of a microwave.

Das ganze Apartment war neu renoviert und war mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen Aufenthalt benötigt. Das Bett war gut. Die Lage war optimal für meine Zwecke, nicht direkt in der Innenstadt, aber auch nicht allzu weit entfernt. Die Anbindung mit Bus und U-Bahn war super.

Fantastic host who responded quickly to all of my questions, both before arrival and once there. Safe neighbourhood that was close to the Europass teacher academy where I was taking part in a training workshop.

The awning on the balcony was broken and could not be retracted. The host was aware and told me that it would be repaired soon.
