Casa Amarela de Sintra II

Location is super close to the train station where the tour buses are. Really good. But NOTE: It is NOT at the historical downtown where you have bars, restaurants, the national palace, etc. There are paid parking options close to the property and free street parking is easy to find early in the morning. The house is spacious and well equiped. The host let us keep our luggage in the garage until the check in time. Which was very nice and accomodating.

Check in was only available at 3:15pm, but the host sent a message saying the check out had to be at 11am sharp. I stayed 2 nights and received a few messages from the host asking to access the property to have access to the storage room. Heaters are weak, they do not heat the room at all. It was really cold inside the house. The good thing is that there were a lot of blankets. But we tried maybe 3 or 4 heaters and none actually heated the room they were in. It seemed an expensive stay for what we got.

Layout, condition, decor, view, bathrooms

Great location. Easy 15 minute walk to center of Sintra and the Sintra National Palace. View of the Moorish Castle lit up in the distance. Friendly breakfast place just below. And close to restaurants, mini markets, groceries and souvenir shops. Garage is available to store our luggages after checkout til 3 pm.
