The location was definitely off the beaten path, but we enjoyed the quiet, serene area, this cute little cabin was located at.
The towels all had white specs on them, not sure if they just weren't very clean or what. I think the biggest complaint we had were the fans in the bedroom. They were extremely dusty and dirty, so we were not able to use them. It was stuffy in one of the bedrooms, so it made sleeping a little difficult without some extra air flow.

Well stocked kitchen supplies, comfy beds and living room area, wood burning stove . Had a major snowstorm while staying and driveway was cleared by the time we had to leave. Easy check-in and clear instructions. Loved the rockers on the porch.
More pillow and towels to choose from would be helpful as well as toiletries and Kleenex. Bath tub was very slow to drain. Lost power at one point and couldn't communicate with anyone about. Beautiful area and location but write up about place should mention how far up the mountain it is and how isolated, quite a way from downtown Idaho Springs.

Shady Pines – Cozy Mountain Retreat is the perfect getaway, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere surrounded by beautiful mountain views. The cabin was comfortable, and truly made for a relaxing and memorable stay
Noticed it needed some cleaning, the ceiling fan in the dining area.

The deck, the views, everything was so lovely inside & out. It was so comfortable. We just had a wonderful, relaxing time with our friends. We had everything we could possibly want. It was great!
We had to block a small area of carpet between the dining room & kitchen with a dining room chair because we kept tripping over the carpet there. Also, my husband was disappointed that he couldn’t “play” in the nearby stream (being on private property). Also, the road construction was a problem getting up & down the mountain. All that being said, we would love to come back. We loved it.
