We were very happy with our four day stay at Ventry Farm Parlour. The local manager Aisling was easy to communicate with, and very helpful and knowledgeable. It was not cheap but this fitted with the going rate for most of the accommodation on the Dingle peninsula. Don’t rent this property if you are looking for a sleek modern apartment with highly equipped kitchenette. What you are paying for is the peace and quiet (as compared with Dingle town), access to great beach and space to really relax in the country, that’s also close to attractions. We loved being so close to Slea Head as it is so beautiful, and we were lucky enough to have great weather for our boat trip across to the Blasket Islands. My husband climbed Mount Brandon and we had several good nights in Dingle enjoying the seafood restaurants and the musicians in the pubs. I would also recommend the Blasket Centre for its very moving museum telling the story of the abandoned island and the community. All in all, an amazing relaxed stay in this lovely part of Ireland. Bring flip flops to wear inside the little cottage as the natural stone floor flagstones are unpolished and if you want to lie in then bring a blackout eye mask as the curtains are sheer.

It was all fine - we were happy and there was nothing we didn’t like. I have included some little tips above for future visitors.
