The Cabin

Great location just outside of Marlow. Easy to find. Quiet and nice views across countryside. Cabin was quite roomy and had most of what we needed to make it an enjoyable stay.

Unfortunately it was a really hot weekend and it was quite difficult to cool the inside of the property down, although fans were provided in the bedrooms. A couple of windows didn’t open or didn’t open wide. The fridge was off when we arrived but a quick call to the host found the switch although it still didn’t seem to be functioning well when on. This was a shame as we had brought lots of food as had decided to have a meal in. The outside area was very nice but would have benefited from having a parasol or something to give shade. The instructions said that there was electric car charging available but the point was in an awkward position so I couldn’t get my cable to reach it. Thankfully I had charge left or this could have been a problem. Would have benefited from having a more detailed manual about everything there and some general information about the surrounding area.

We were going to Henley Regatta and this was perfect location. Not too far by taxi to and from the Regatta and facilities in the Cabin were perfect. We got back about 8.30pm and spent a few hours in the garden and had a fire pit, was the end to a perfect day!

Nothing - it was great! Also lovely that as we were too couples both rooms were identical so you didn't have to work out who has the smaller room!

The location and the large size of the cabin. The outside facilities and the country views. Very quite and pleasant place to stay. Would recommend for four people with the two spacious bedrooms.

Would not recommend in the winter months as the heating system was poor. The wood stove burner was great for the lounge but this still meant the rest of the cabin was cold. Would benefit from the addition of a washing up bowl and dishcloths.
