Ben Lomond Creek Cabins

I loved waking up in the morning, pulling the curtains back on the sliding door and looking out to the winter paradise from the comfort of the bed.

Water temp in shower was a little hard to dial in but is my single only down fall. Understandably though when using solar panels and gas heating in such a cold and remote area.

Location and staff were wonderful!

Snug but clean, cosy and warm. Had everything you would expect from a ski hut. Small wet area for boots just inside the door, proper heating, hanging space for jackets, lovely warm shower, comfy beds. Staff super friendly and helpful. Only downside was the weather. We were hoping for snow but got a lot of cold rain and wind instead. Couldn’t see a thing! Still an adventure to be on the mountain in wild weather.

Room was crazy small. The breakfast was in a spare communal cabin backpacker style and was very small. So glad we only stayed one night. We felt very claustrophobic in there
