This place is quite nice. Giant TV's in every room, new appliances, huge deck with a hot tub, pets allowed and the location is 15 minutes from everything RRG. Now, a couple things you NEED to know - the last mile of the drive is hairy. They are CLEAR about this in the listing, so it's not a secret, but don't discount it. 2WD won't cut it on these hills - you'll slip and a car won't have the necessary clearance. It won't be fun. The kitchen is well equipped for a casual stay, but if you plan to cook a lot or make fancy meals, or if you have 4 people staying and you're cooking, you'll probably need to grab some specialty things and you'll need to do dishes every day. It is also a shared bath/shower upstairs and a half bath downstairs. There are some small quirks to this new build, but it still deserves a 5 star rating - I loved it!

This home is beautiful and spotlessly clean. There are so many wonderful details like a fully stocked coffee bar including beans and a grinder, hot tub towels by the door, trays for dog food bowls to make everyone feel at home.
The property is very private. The drive is bumpy but no issue if you have 4WD or AWD. Just go slowly.

The property was exactly as described, truly awesome! The home is a newer build in a beautiful yet secluded area. It was like being in a kid’s treehouse, only bigger, better and cooler! The style reminded me of minimalist Scandinavian design with high ceilings, white walls and light wood trims, but still felt warm and cozy. The home contained all the modern amenities needed to make our stay so comfortable, and we enjoyed the time spent in the hot tub, around the fire pit and on the expansive deck. The home is close to many activities, trails and excellent restaurants. The host Samuel was very friendly and answered all our questions via text.
Also, take to heart the need for a 4WD or AWD vehicle to navigate the steep hills, rough roads, ruts and gullies of the area.
All in all, we had an incredible trip!

Thoroughly enjoyed our fall break with the kids! Off the beaten path, but close to activities. We lived like royalty at the Obsidian. Tucked away and definitely needed the 4x4, but I think it added to our adventure. Samuel was available when needed for general questions. We loved the deck, hot tub, fire pit, and privacy of this cabin. Open sky for view of starry skies on our clear nights. Pet friendly to boot! Thank you for helping us make some unforgettable memories!
