About this country house rental
Spacious, sunlit home offers tons of amenities on 12 acres, close to wineries, breweries, wedding venues, hiking. Secluded, yet very convenient location.
Originally a 1920 tenant house for the farm across the creek, our home has been enlarged and renovated. It's charming, peaceful, filled with sunlight, and just a great place to unwind.
1st floor: very well-equipped kitchen, sitting room, dining room, family room, sunroom, music room covered porch, and kitchen deck w/gas grill
2nd floor: wonderful master bedroom suite with soaring ceilings, spacious bath with jetted tub; bedrooms 2 & 3, smaller bath, office, and covered porch with garden and pond views
3rd floor: lovely walk-up loft with queen bed, full bath; laundry area
Basement: rec room with ping pong table and some work out equipment; cozy theatre room.
In addition to the covered porches and kitchen deck, outside amenities include a firepit with Adirondack chairs, perfect for s'moring; beautiful grounds w/mature gardens, pond, and acres of woods to explore. We also offer bocce, croquet (lmk so I can set up the court prior to your arrival), tennis racquets and balls (nearby public courts), etc.
*** We contract with our cleaning service to clean the house top to bottom - BEFORE YOUR VISIT, then we do the clean up afterwards ourselves. We pass along just $140 of that cost to you. Thank you for keeping our home tidy. :)
*** No need to buy/bring bottled water, as our well water is delicious!
*** The detached garage/office (100' across the circular driveway from house) is not included in the rental. EV charging from the garage can be pre-arranged.

Lovely, quiet, private place to stay away from the maddening crowd. Twenty minutes from the venue we were attending and it felt like we were coming “home” each evening. Nicely appointed, clean and comfortable with plenty of space to meet individual needs. Loved the sunroom which was perfect for morning coffee and conversation. Very welcoming and appreciated the welcome note along with the s'mores basket for use around the fire pit. Great guest book including local recommendations. Would stay again for sure!

Absolutely beautiful home and property immaculately cared for. From the minute of pulling up until departing everything was just perfect. We were a family of 7 adults celebrating a wedding in Hillsboro, VA. The location is convenient to all of the amenities in Purcerville such as grocery store, cleaners for pressing dresses, hair and nail salon. Just a one hour drive allowed us to enjoy the DC area.The home itself is a wonderful space for a relaxing weekend. It was hard to leave. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Each of the 4 bedrooms were spacious and unique especially the master bedroom and bathroom which allowed all our daughters to get ready together as they prepared for the wedding. The hardest decision was which porch to use to enjoy a cup a coffee. Beautiful breakfast room surrounded by large windows to admire the amazing gardens. The owners Tom and Char are so gracious to share this wonderful property. There wasn’t one detail left out and they were so accommodating. I would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in the area.

Tom was a great host to our family. We all came in from different parts of the country for a wedding. The house was very clean, quiet and peaceful in a natural setting. A great retreat after lots of family activities for the wedding. It was very convenient for our festivities at Otium Cellars. Close to Purcellville and Leesburg for great restaurants. Tom was so great to provide an airbed for one of the kids. He offered to make a fire for smores, but we just didn't have time with our schedule. We would definitely visit again!

This property was exceptional; everything about it was better than we expected and honestly this is the first time at a rental that i really felt like i should leave a tip because the entire experience was so exceptional. I didn’t though;) but you deserved one!!
