About this cottage rental
This is a quiet residential neighborhood. If you are looking to party, please book someplace else. However, if you are looking to decompress and get away from it all, then look no further. The home is average, functional, but not special. This is an imperfect lake cottage, with crooked floors and stained carpets. However, there are many windows that provide a 270 degree view of the lake as the house is located on a point with 128 feet of private lake frontage and a dock.

The house was as advertised. The floors are a little uneven. There’s a spiral staircase, which gets a little getting used to, but easy enough to navigate if you’re agile. There are two bathrooms, one up and one down, shower only on the first floor. Kitchen was well stocked and the big dining room table was great when I had friends over or family for a dinner. The fireplace did not work that was a little disappointing, but the heat did work, cause it was chilly at night. The upstairs bedrooms were nice and big and two of them let out onto a deck overlooking the pond, which is quite lovely, and there were kayaks and paddle boards, and plenty of outdoor lighting and a gas grill. There’s a fire pit and two docs to utilize but the one to the left of the cottage as you face the lake could use a little work, it’s a little shaky, and the stairs won’t bear much weight, so walk gently. The back deck was a wonderful place to have breakfast and afternoon cocktails while looking at the lake.Overall, it was a wonderful stay and beautiful view from cottage with plenty of room should you have a large family, I was there on my own and enjoyed every minute of it. Would highly recommend.

We are a large family (8!), finding a place to accommodate all our interests can be difficult. We found everything we needed with this property! We fished, swam, kayaked and paddle board all day! We enjoyed not needing to go to town (I over prepare ), however it was very convenient when we did. There is so much to do in the Sunapee area (for all ages). Contact with the host was exceptional! My many questions before arrival were all answered promptly, and continued throughout our stay! Please read full description of property. The house is older and has its many charms, which are accurately represented!

This cottage was perfect for our family of 9, as we live locally but had crazy work schedules, soccer practices and games, and drivers ed classes during our almost two week stay. Because we weren’t there for touring the wonderful Sunapee area, we really just enjoyed the beautiful lake. We brought our motorized canoe for the teenagers and other floats but Ben has paddle boards and kayaks to use. Fishing, floating, swimming, sitting around the fire pit making S’mores, coffee on the deck in the early morning watching the sunrise or reading on the 3 season porch and watching the 4 grands playing cards and games at the dining table til late at night were the highlights of our vacation. Everyone had a wonderful time. Ben was so helpful and responsive to our questions, during the check-in process and beyond. Great kitchen, all linens provided. We were glad to stay in a place where we didn’t worry about teenagers coming in with wet feet and pine needles that grandma cleaned every night!
