About this cabin rental
We offer a two bedroom fully furnished home located on Cortes Island. This beach house is a wonderful place to unwind, breathe the ocean air and experience the quiet surroundings. Enjoy the views from the patio or have a beach fire. Inside get cozy by the fireplace with one of the many books provided for your stay. We also offer a wood fired hot tub. This is fun and a bit of work with a lot of reward.
Mansons lagoon is a very unique place. When the tide goes out the lagoon completely empties of water leaving tide pools exposed and ready for exploration. Kids and adults absolutely delight in this beach. Durning the winter the tides are low durning the night and jt this is when we go oyster and clam harvesting.
We love to show guests how this is done. Just bring your gumboots and a headlight. During spring, summer and fall you can harvest during the day. The lagoon is also a great place for swimming. Water Shoes are recommended

The cabin is very cozy and the fenced in yard is amazing if you have a dog. It really made our pups vacation to be able to enjoy a safe, quiet backyard, with a view of the lagoon.

We loved our stay at the beach house, it is located in a quiet and peaceful and private spot on Manson's lagoon. Our stay was in the winter, and we enjoyed cozy evenings reading books and playing games by the wood burning fire. The cabin has an amazing array of very interesting books. We enjoyed the occasional fire outside by the firepit at the edge of the lagoon. This would be a good place for a birder, as the lagoon was always busy with birds feeding in the area. The wood burning hot tub was a delight after a chilly paddle. We felt rested and relaxed after 5 days here and the kids loved our daily paddles on the lagoon and night time explorations at low tide, where we found to our surprise that the water would glow with bioluminescence when disturbed.

The Beach House exceeded all expectations. The only problem with it was that I had to leave:)
It’s set right on one of the most beautiful spots on the lagoon, the host Melissa is absolutely amazing and the decor, atmosphere even housewares are spectacular.
To add to my delight, the property being so private was also fenced in so I had the door open for my dogs to enjoy the property as well.
Hands down the most incredible place I have ever stayed at.
