The Space:
As you step inside, the main level welcomes you with a spacious living room featuring an electric fireplace and a smart TV. The fully stocked kitchen, complemented by a designated dining area, is perfect for family meals, while ample natural lighting adds to the inviting atmosphere. A second living area leads to the back deck, and the master suite on this level offers a king bed and a private bathroom.
Descending to the lower level, discover a cozy sitting area with a smart TV, ideal for your streaming needs, along with another king suite featuring an attached private bathroom. A separate private entrance enhances convenience.
Venture upstairs to find two bedrooms—one equipped with a twin daybed/trundle combo and the other with a queen bed. A full bathroom with a shower/tub combo completes this level.

Please note:
There is a cracked window in the kitchen, located in front of the sink. This is a double-paned window, and the crack is only on the exterior pane. It does not affect functionality and is a precautionary notice while we arrange for replacement. All other windows in the home are in good working order.
This house does not have river access on the property. The boat ramp is located at the end of Princess St. Also, weather permitting, AWD is recommended.
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
Longer Stays
For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.

As VRBO owners, we were very pleased with our accommodations. The house was amazing. Plenty of room for our 3-generation family! Kitchen was stocked with plenty of utensils and cookware for Gram’s famous fried chicken with lots of help from g’daughters. 4 bedrooms with beds that were super comfortable; cozy and warm for Gram, cool and comfy for the rest. Baths were convenient and offered nice quality, soft towels; along with hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The W/D allowed “some of us” to pack lite!!We enjoyed seeing deer along the road leading to the house and feeding near the river below; plus geese, rabbits, squirrels, cranes, hawks…and both bald eagles and golden eagles. We spent many hours watching from the decks, taking pics, and sharing with family. The firepit was nice on cooler evenings. The guys enjoyed watching basketball and golf on the large TV in the LR. We all had a FUNTASTIC time sitting around a beautiful fireplace, playing games at night. Speaking of golf, the guys brought their clubs and played 2 of the 5 days on local courses. The gals shopped many of the local thrift shops and are taking home some real treasures.

If you’re looking for a quiet getaway from big city living, this is the place! Not only does the house have amazing Potomac River water views, the house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything you need to enjoy a vacation. While it’s off the beaten path, it’s just a short drive to restaurants, historical sites and more. We had a great stay!

Host was very welcoming and responsive to our inquiries. House is beautiful and in a peaceful setting. The sunset was mesmerizing. The kitchen was well-appointed and had everything we needed. The entire house was very clean and organized.Cellular is very spotty in the area. However, the wi-fi was pretty good, and I was able to join my video calls without issues. There were occasional stick bugs/shield bugs in the house, but we were in the woods so it didn’t really bother us.I will definitely book again. It was a much needed getaway.
