I spent almost 90k in INR for 3 days. Rooms were clean, the hotel smelled nice, amazing staffs and hospitality. However, the rooms are quite small and definitely not worth paying so much.

The location is very dodgy, definitely not worth the price point. The windows are not sound proof at all, we were situated on 5th floor but felt like sleeping next to the street with cars horning and people shouting the whole night. Whole room was very dark and not as bright as photo displayed online. Bed was very very soft felt like mattress has been well used for a period of time. Do not recommend at all, there are many other options at similar price ranges.

Title: Terrible – It’s a Trap I booked Maison Cassandre through Agoda (I will address Agoda’s handling separately), but let’s begin with the hotel itself. This property markets itself as a four-star hotel. That is simply false. At best, it qualifies as a weak three-star establishment. The most serious issue, however, is the location. It is situated on Avenue de Clichy, in what can only be described as one of the most unsafe and chaotic areas I have experienced in Paris. The street is filled with homeless individuals, drug users, and intoxicated people at all hours. Police sirens are constant. Screaming throughout the night is nonstop. At one point, a homeless man was camping directly outside the hotel entrance, banging on the glass door. As a solo female traveler, stepping outside the hotel felt genuinely unsafe. Sleeping was nearly impossible due to the noise and disturbance. The location alone makes this hotel unfit for any traveler seeking basic comfort or security. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the manager, ***, whose demeanor was cold and unwelcoming. I was assigned a room where the air conditioning was not functioning—during a Paris heatwave. After a 12-hour journey, I was left to argue, insist, and practically beg for a room change. It took hours and three different rooms before I was finally placed in one with working air conditioning. However, the situation did not end there. That same night, the air conditioning stopped working again. The system is centrally controlled, and the night staff—who appeared to be trainees—had no idea how to operate it. The result was a completely unstable environment: either unbearably hot or freezing cold, with no resolution. No one on staff was capable of fixing it. Housekeeping was equally inconsistent. The first two days were acceptable, but after that, cleaning was reduced to the absolute bare minimum—beds made and towels replaced, with no attention to floors, surfaces, or overall hygiene. This is unacceptable, especially considering the price I paid, which was significantly inflated due to Roland Garros season. The staffing situation is alarming. The front desk is run almost entirely by very young, inexperienced employees who are clearly untrained and unsupported. There is no visible management presence. *** disappeared after check-in, leaving the hotel effectively unmanaged. The only competent and helpful staff member I encountered was a young woman named ***, who genuinely tried to assist. Beyond that, there is no service, no structure, and no sense that anyone is actually running the property. Guests are left entirely on their own. This hotel is not just disappointing—it is a complete failure on every level: location, management, service, and basic functionality. Do not stay here. It is a trap. A final note: never book a hotel with fewer than 500 reviews. This property had only 39 reviews, which proved to be highly misleading. Learn from my mistake and avoid it entirely.
