About this house rental

Skip the hotel and settle into a home that lets you experience Houston like a local. Tucked into the heart of Montrose, this private retreat pairs the energy of one of the city`s most eclectic neighborhoods with the comfort of having your own space to relax, gather, and recharge.

Inside, the open living, dining, and kitchen areas create a natural place to spend time together, whether you`re sharing takeout from a neighborhood favorite, cooking a family dinner, or planning the next day`s adventures. Large windows, high ceilings, and comfortable furnishings make the home feel bright, open, and inviting from the moment you arrive.

The primary suite features a king bed, an additional twin bed, and a private ensuite bathroom. A second bedroom offers a queen bed, while the third includes a full bed. A queen sleeper sofa provides additional flexibility, allowing the home to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests.

The backyard is where the pace slows down. Start your morning with a fresh espresso or French press, spend the afternoon cooling off in your private pool, and end the day grilling dinner or relaxing outdoors while the city winds down around you. It`s a space designed for conversation, quiet moments, and making the most of Houston`s warm weather.

When you`re ready to explore, Montrose is right outside your door. Wander through neighborhood cafés, independent boutiques, art galleries, and some of Houston`s most celebrated restaurants before visiting nearby favorites like the Museum District, Hermann Park, Rice University, the Texas Medical Center, Buffalo Bayou Park, and Downtown Houston.

Fast Wi-Fi, a dedicated workspace, smart lock self check-in, complimentary parking, a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and pet-friendly accommodations make the home just as practical for extended stays as it is for weekend escapes.
All guests must be listed on the reservation. No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed without prior approval. No parties or events. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the home. Pets are welcome with prior notice. Pool use is at your own risk; children must be supervised. Please treat the property and neighbors with respect.

Nice location, nice accommodations. Enjoyed the time. There were a LOT of gnats flying around.....a lot. Maybe because there was a lot of trash left outside from previous guests?

The house is just as advertised and has plenty of space. The beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. We'd definitely stay here again.

The interior was a designers dream/the space was beautiful/modern and matched the listing photos. The property was spacious enough to accommodate a party of 5, despite only having 1 shower, but I would exercise caution if you wanted to host a party 5. I did not arrive until 0130h/it was a good thing-bc I would have left as soon as I arrived. Dilapidated is an accurate description of the exterior—which is crazy bc had I not walked in—I would not have experienced the gorgeous interior. The contrast btwn the interior/exterior almost seems like a deterrent to prevent burglarization when vacant. The pool was in no condition for swimming d/t the large amt of debris bc the pump was broken. I notified the owners/WE were instructed to add water for 2h to get the pump to work. The pump never started working. I booked the listing for pool access/nvr had a chance to swim in 95d heat. Gnats/Roaches. The downstairs area was full of gnats—I set up 4 vivo traps (20/unit)/DIY gnat traps to keep gnats to a bearable level/prevent them from flying in our food/faces. During our stay-we also encountered two large cockroaches that emerged during the night from the kitchen. They were huge—so there is NOT an infestation, so they may have come from around the sink or dishwasher plumbing. There is a comfortable couch downstairs—but with cockroaches emerging at night—be wary about sleeping downstairs.FUN was had—but I wouldn’t rebook/would only cautiously recommend.
