About this apartment rental
Our house is located in Bussoleno, in the historic center, which is also the medieval quarter.
Bussoleno is just a few kilometers from Susa and easily accessible from Turin, both by train and by car. The town of Bussoleno traces its origins back centuries to the Middle Ages.
In fact, many of the most famous points of interest are medieval buildings, such as Casa Aschieris, the Locanda della Croce Bianca (or Casa Amprimo), and Castello Borello, which seems to watch over Bussoleno from high on the mountain.
The town was also an important stopover for pilgrims traveling along the Via Francigena (the Moncenisio branch), but above all for rail freight traffic. In fact, the Museum of Rail Transport through the Alps is located here, chronicling the history of freight transport in the past.
Needless to say, we are right in the heart of the Susa Valley and therefore just a stone’s throw from everything: hiking trails, bike paths, lakes for sport fishing, and many other activities of all kinds.
It’s worth mentioning the extremely popular Orrido di Foresto, beloved by climbers who can test their skills on its limestone walls across 24 routes with varying levels of difficulty: a gathering spot that will make you fall in love with these mountains.
Finally, if you find yourself in Bussoleno, you absolutely must set aside a day for the Orsiera-Rocciavrè Natural Park, an earthly paradise where you’ll find yourself strolling among countless botanical and mineral varieties; you’ll be far from mass tourism and can enjoy the relaxation you need with your family and friends.
