This was our second time staying at this home and it again met our expectations.

This space was great for the 2 of us wanting a quiet get-away. We could easily walk the 2 blocks to the lake, also walked to Buckeye Brewery and The Boat Yard. The kitchen is well set up with all we needed. Everything was clean and the host was easy to communicate with.

Pros: The cottage is updated, cute, nicely decorated, clean and relatively short walk to some eateries, bars and the neighborhood is pretty quiet. Contactless check-in is very simple. Hot tub and shower are nice. Kitchen/ bathroom are amply equipped. Linens are good quality and plentiful, especially appreciate extra towels for the hot tub. Complimentary basket of snacks and Kcups are great.Cons: The neighborhood, many homes/ mobile homes surrounding this cottage are rundown and unsightly - though we had no issues, just felt a bit uneasy. Sofa is not comfortable to sit for any length of time, beds felt ok initially but my husband and I each woke with a sore, stiff back and neck. Both beds are also very squeaky with even the slightest movement. The only access to the hot tub is through very painful gravel.(bring flip-flops!)Wish it had: Bedside lamps for reading etc. rather than the bright ceiling light that is only controlled by the wall switch at the door. I prefer to have TVs in the bedrooms. Also, a full length mirror somewhere for getting ready.*Don't miss these gems while visiting: Buckeye Lake Winery, Horvath's Harbor/ Buckeye Lake Coffee co., and Coffee Shack (I'd definitely return to all of these places)
