Lovely, cozy stay at the Hillside Cabin. The location was perfect to see Michigan fall colors. Nearby trails were easy to access, finer dining in Grand Rapids was a short drive, and the beautiful kitchen made cooking very easy. Would definitely recommend for a comfy, quiet trip.

We enjoyed our stay at The Cottage. We had a fire and roasted hot dogs and smores. Played games on the deck and ended our nights in the hot tub!

This cottage is very cozy and rustic. I would not recommend it for more than a few nights. The set up is odd with the bathroom being downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen was nice and very functional. Some of the lights did not work properly. One of the beds is mismatched with the frame, so it caused me to almost fall off a few times. We found a pair of underwear underneath the bed, so it made me question how thorough of a job the cleaners do. The listing says that there is laundry available. There are no laundry facilities in the cottage. You would need to drive to town to go to the laundromat. Unfortunately, they are unable to change the listing to accurately reflect this. We loved the hot tub. The fire pit is great. The cottage is in the woods and Michigan has frequent storms. So there were a couple downed trees. Just be cognizant of the fact that this really is in the middle of nature. The downstairs was pretty damp and musty. There is a dehumidifier, but you have to empty the water bucket about every 12 hours in order for it to work well. The cottage could definitely use some upkeep, but overall it is a nice little place in the woods.
