About this house rental

Summary:

Situated at the end of a quiet residential cul-de-sac, next to a school, this spacious four-bedroom home is arranged over two floors and offers generous, well-designed living space throughout.

The Space:

This is the kind of house that makes you want to put the kettle on, kick off your shoes and settle in. Warm, cosy and packed with character, this four-bedroom home has plenty of space for the family without losing that lovely lived-in feeling that makes a house feel like a proper home.

Downstairs, the bright open-plan living and dining room is made for lazy breakfasts, family dinners and evenings on the sofa. French doors open straight onto the beautifully maintained private garden, while the spacious kitchen has its own garden access too. There’s also a double bedroom and family bathroom on this floor — particularly handy for grandparents, guests or anyone who’d rather avoid the stairs. Upstairs, you’ll find another two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and a second family bathroom, so there’s room for everyone to find their own corner.

Now for the small print — or rather, the character! This is a home that has been properly lived in and loved, so it isn’t pristine or showroom-perfect. Expect the odd scuff, mark and imperfection here and there. What it lacks in polished perfection, though, it more than makes up for in charm and cosiness. It’s comfortable, practical and wonderfully easy to settle into, whether you’re here for a few nights or making it your temporary home for a few months. There’s also driveway parking for one car, and Woking Station is conveniently close by.

Once your reservation is confirmed, Smarter Rent will ask for a copy of your ID and for you to sign our Smarter Rent Agreement covering the house rules. It’s all part of keeping things running smoothly and making sure you can get on with the important bit — feeling at home and enjoying your stay.

The Neighborhood:

There’s plenty to keep you entertained around Woking, whether you fancy fresh air, a little culture or a full-on family day out.

For walkers, runners and four-legged explorers, Horsell Common is a local favourite, with beautiful heathland, woodland and meadows to explore. It also has a rather unusual claim to fame: H.G. Wells chose the sandpits here as the Martian landing site in The War of the Worlds — so keep an eye on the sky while you’re walking!

If you prefer your greenery a little more manicured, RHS Garden Wisley makes a brilliant day out, with spectacular gardens, the Glasshouse and plenty of space to wander. For something more indoorsy, head into Woking town centre for shopping, restaurants and entertainment, or pop into Lightbox Gallery for art and exhibitions.

Travelling with children? Mizens Railway (Woking Miniature Railway Society) is a fun little local find on selected running days, while bigger adventures such as Thorpe Park and Brooklands Museum are also within easy reach by car.

Whether you’re here for woodland walks, family adventures, shopping or simply finding a good café and taking things slowly, Woking gives you plenty to do without having to venture too far.

Getting Around:

Getting around is pretty straightforward, whether you’re heading into Woking, commuting into London or exploring more of Surrey.

Brookwood is the closest railway station, roughly 1.2–1.3 miles from the property, while Woking station is around 2.2 miles away. Woking is the bigger transport hub and particularly handy for fast, frequent trains towards London Waterloo, as well as connections towards Guildford, Basingstoke and the South Coast. If you’d rather leave the car at home, there are bus stops just a short stroll away around Gorsewood Road, including Sutton Avenue and Hermitage Estate Shops. Local services connect the St John’s and Knaphill areas with Woking town centre and the railway station. (ukpostcodecheck.com)

Woking station also has a taxi rank and plenty of onward bus connections, so once you’re there it’s easy to continue your journey. (nationalrail.co.uk)

Whether you’re commuting into London, heading out for a Surrey adventure or simply popping into Woking for dinner and shopping, you’ve got plenty of options — and no need to spend the whole stay behind the wheel.
