About this house rental
Escape to Chula Vista, an expansive 3-bedroom villa with private pool in the hills of West Bay, Roatan! Soak in stunning jungle and ocean views, cool breezes, and tropical charm. Just minutes from the beach, this peaceful retreat is perfect for families or friends looking to unwind and explore the best of island life.
Chula Vista is managed by Island House Vacation Rentals. Guests will be provided with our local phone numbers and will be available via phone, text, as well as messaging. Our office, located on the main road in West Bay, just a few minutes from the house is open Monday - Friday 8-4 and Saturdays 8-12. We greet all of our guests at the office so they know how to find us. Prior to your stay, we require you to complete a pre-arrival form and agree to our rental terms and conditions. Secure online payments for direct bookings are processed through a 3rd party payment processor, ChargeAutomation.
Chula Vista is located in Gran Keyhole, a small private neighbourhood on the South Shore of West Bay, across the road from the Black Iguana Golf course.
Private pool, all areas of the property and bedrooms. Access to the garage is not available, items inside the garage are for owners use only. Thank you.
From it's perch in the hills overlooking the South shore of West Bay, Chula Vista offers a private paradise of stunning Caribbean Sea and jungle views. The villa is surrounded by lush tropical foliage and mature gardens, the exterior spaces of the villa are extensive and offer plenty of room to relax in the peace and quiet or gather togeher and socialise. With the trade winds often blowing, the sea breezes flowing through Chula Vista make it comfortable to enjoy the home without air conditioing if you prefer natural wind to AC.
You will find it hard to leave the pool deck where you can enjoy morning coffee overlooking the water listening to the abundant birds. In the afternoons, have a dip and cool off with a cocktail or lazeby the pool with a good book. The large BBQ grill is perfect to cook up the catch of the day.
The kitchen has been described as "spectacular" and "better than my kitchen at home" on more than one occasion. It is well stocked with plenty of cookware, dinnerware, pots & pans and utensils. It has plenty of counter space, extra sinks, professional range and large pantry with fridge.
With 3 separate bedrooms, the house is perfect for 3 couples or families with older children (note the separate sleeping areas). Each bedroom suite has it own bathroom a separate entry offering privacy and space for all. The downstairs twin bedroom can be set up as a king bed for couples.
We recommend a rental car for ease of getting around, West Bay is a 3-minute drive and West End 10 minutes by car. However, if you love to walk, the stroll to West Bay Beach is under 15 minutes.
We are happy to arrange your airport transfer to West Bay if you wish. We recommend a rental car for ease of getting around, West Bay is a 3-minute drive and West End 10 minutes by car. However, if you love to walk, the stroll to West Bay Beach is under 15 minutes. If you do not wish to rent a car there is also a local taxi service available.

Absolutely beautiful house and location. This was our first time to Roatan, and this was the perfect sanctuary to come home to every day. The fabulous kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need to prepare meals, which we often did. (But we also enjoyed the local food every day! Make sure to try the baleadas!) We slept like babies and swam in the gorgeous pool every morning. The management staff, groundskeepers and housekeepers were the best and made our stay so enjoyable. Chula Vista is perfect for families with older teens . Highly recommended!! P.S., if you come here, make sure to visit the east end of the island as well, and take a guided tour, you won’t regret it!! P.S., we rented a car and would do so again for ease of transportation. Thank you, Chula Vista! !Hasta la proxima ves!

The listing was as stated 100%. Wonderful kitchen with all the appliances and utensils you could ever need. It was super clean. There was a new property being built across the street so there was a little bit of noise but nothing too bad and it didn’t even bother us one bit. The location was perfect for being out of the way of traffic and the tourism hustle while being perfectly located close to West Bay Beach and only a 5-10 minute drive to West End. I would recommend a car rental if you like to explore. It would be about a 1 mile walk down to West Bay Beach if you choose.
All in all, we loved it and the Island House Team was super responsive and helpful in planning excursions. I would definitely recommend this property and their team to anyone looking for a getaway!
