The Ranch - beautiful twin room

All was good

Correct type of room was not offered which was very inconvenience to dual occupancy room. Twin bed. Guest don't like sleep on mattress

The atmosphere is great

The reception was not good. Fees was quoted in USD but they insisted their payment be done in Zambia kwacha. The receptionist had an unpleasant attitude

Clean quiet friendly helpful staff excellent location

Hot water always an issue water ran out on first day Netflix always having to be reset by staff whenever the power goes suggest getting rechargeable globes in lampstand so guests have a light when power goes at nighttime

Room was clean and comfortable. Working aircon. Setting within the boundary walls was quiet and peaceful ideal for an overnight stay fairly close to Lusaka airport or if you're working in the area.

Outside the boundary walls is a shanty town not really a place for tourists after dark. Mix up paying the bill. Booking.com invoice said bill was to be paid in dollars, on leaving they asked for kwacha (which we didn't have as we were flying out that morning) they didn't want to take small denomination dollars, two separate cards were rejected by their machine (despite working everywhere else through our three week holiday) eventually asked us to pay with a $100 bill and then gave us change in kwacha which we had to change back at the airport. To put the cherry on it after all that the owner messaged us the next day asking us to send them another $100 as they couldn't bank the first one because it was an old note.
