Gîte Lavande au milieu des vignes - Chateau les Apiès

Struttura immersa nel verde dotata di piscina per adulti e per bambini, quest’ultima sempre all’ombra anche nelle ore più calde della giornata. La Signora che gestisce la struttura è stata gentilissima e ci ha fatto fare il check in anticipato (alle 12) e l’indomani siamo potuti partire in tutta calma, senza chiedere alcun supplemento. Tutto perfetto.

Location is about a 10-minute drive from Les Arcs Draguignan train station - there are taxis and uber available, but it'd be easiest to have a rental car as the property is a solid 2k from the main road, a Lidl grocery store, and a few other shops. We stayed here for a wedding at Chateau Maime, another 2k on country roads in the opposite direction. It was great to have a full kitchen (although we did not use the dishwasher), equipped with an electric/IH stove top, toaster oven, microwave and small fridge. We stayed as two - one in the loft pull-out bed, and one in the bedroom, which turned out to be a great arrangement for us as two friends. It was quiet and fantastic to have a washing machine, which we used to wash the towels provided, as well as our own laundry during our 5-night stay. I enjoyed running on the roads around the vineyards but some of it does turn into gravel, especially past Chateau Maime.

Had a bit of a challenging time finding the property owner upon arrival - another guest said they had spent 30 minutes tracking down the owner, as well. We needed to find her so she could show us where we were staying and learn the quirks of the property. We were only given one roll of toilet paper and told it's normal to bring your own (which we did not know, and not before we had already gone to the grocery store). The shower is pretty small and may be a challenge to those in bigger bodies, but the water is hot and pressure is fine. On day 2, the toilet stopped flushing (there was no water filling the tank), so while it was fixed quickly, it was inconvenient. The towels and bedsheets were (unknowingly) included in our price paid on booking.com, which put to rest our concerns about extra charges as described on the property's website.
