Our priorities for a stay are alwaya: clean, quiet, and pet-friendly. This cozy little place met and exceeded all those marks! The home was spotless, has plenty of beautiful natural light, has older home charm with modern convenience, and is located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. Our dogs appreciated exploring the spacious backyard and deck. The weather was a little chilly and perfect for the cute firepit setup in the backyard. The host communicated well and check in and out were easy. We wish our visit could have been a bit longer.

While the local property manager was incredibly polite, responsive, and did his absolute best to fix immediate issues - like replacing a moldy shower curtain and bringing extra fans - the property itself does not match the premium price tag or the listing details.The most significant issue is that the listing explicitly advertises a "lake view," but the property is located inland and has no lake view whatsoever. Additionally, the property suffers from deferred maintenance, including heavily peeling deck paint, algae/mildew staining on the exterior, and a broken bedroom ceiling fan in a room with no A/C vents. Basic essentials were also shorted, leaving two guests in our party without clean sheets on our first night.When I reached out to the host directly and privately before checkout to discuss these discrepancies, the response was highly defensive and unprofessional rather than addressing the clear listing errors.The local team on the ground deserves praise for their hospitality, but the property condition, missing premium amenities, and the owner's communication do not match the premium price paid.
