About this house rental
High in the north of Rügen, nestled between the chalk cliffs and Jasmund National Park, lies the idyllic village of Ranzow on the outskirts of the municipality of Lohme—free from through traffic. Here, at the end of a small cul-de-sac, you’ll find the detached single-family home Breidablik, featuring a spacious garden, terraces, and surrounding natural meadows. The house is situated on a hill and offers panoramic views of all of Ranzow and its castle, as well as the surrounding fields, horse paddocks, woods, and the coastline. Here, you can enjoy complete privacy and find peace and relaxation.
Near the vacation home lies Ranzow Castle with its beautiful 18-hole coastal golf course. In the adjacent forest area of the national park (UNESCO World Heritage Site “Ancient Beech Forests”), with magnificent high-altitude trails along the cliffs, you can go on long hikes or bike rides, and there are several spots where you can reach the pebble beach. After about two kilometers, you’ll reach the famous Königsstuhl and the Skywalk above it, as well as the National Park Center with an exhibition worth seeing.
In the other direction, it’s about 900 meters from the vacation home to the village of Lohme with its tranquil alleys and small harbor. Here you’ll find quaint restaurants and a village store for daily necessities and fresh bread rolls.
The vacation home is a new construction completed in 2023 and meets all modern standards; underfloor heating and a central ventilation system ensure a comfortable indoor climate.
Large floor-to-ceiling windows flood the rooms with natural light and offer views of the beautiful surroundings. When the weather is nice, the living area expands by opening the double-hung French doors onto the ground-level terraces, which feature comfortable seating, dining, and lounging areas.
The outdoor sauna, followed by a rain shower under the open sky, also offers relaxation.
For a particularly restful night’s sleep, all rooms can be darkened with roller shutters, and before or after bed, guests can enjoy the panoramic view—including a fascinating sunset—from the balcony of the two upper bedrooms. In the early morning hours, interesting wildlife such as foxes, wildcats, roe deer, and (sometimes white) stags can often be spotted; in spring and fall, cranes and wild geese linger in the fields.
The light, Nordic-style furnishings have been completely newly purchased and create a cozy vacation atmosphere, while also being designed to facilitate thorough, ongoing cleaning and hygiene maintenance.
The well-equipped, homey kitchen blends harmoniously into the spacious living room. Cooking amenities include an electric stove with induction burners and an oven, a toaster, and a large microwave with various functions. In addition to a refrigerator, there is a separate freezer. For preparing hot beverages, a coffee maker, an espresso machine, a tea maker, and an electric kettle are provided. The spacious dishwasher takes care of the dishes.
For your media needs, all rooms offer free high-speed internet via Wi-Fi or LAN ports. The living room and bedrooms are equipped with smart TVs, which offer a wide range of TV programming and allow you to use popular streaming services or Sky with your personal account. In addition, a phone for free calls to German landlines and cell phones, as well as audio equipment, are available.
The private parking space is located directly next to the house, near the front door.
