About this house rental
Summer Story has 4 bedrooms, an elevator and a private pool that is ready to welcome your family for their beach vacation. It is located approximately 1/2 mile from the public beach access on Bonito Street which has free parking. [Note: No dogs or other animals are allowed; large guest parties/family reunions are also not allowed in this home.]

TOP LEVEL:
The open floor plan of the Great Room will offer a large flat-screen TV, plenty of comfortable seating in the living area and access to a covered deck with furniture for relaxation. The dining area will seat 8 and the kitchen island will seat 5. The kitchen will have upgraded appliances, plus a built-in microwave and a beverage center as extra room for cold drinks so there is room to chill the groceries in the main refrigerator. The King Master Suite on this floor has a large shower in its master bath. An elevator connects all levels of this home. A landing between the top and mid level stairways offers a half bath for guests to use.
MID LEVEL:
From the entry way, you can access 3 more bedrooms: the King Master Suite has a door to the deck. Its master bathroom is designed with wider doors and the roll-in shower is handicap-friendly. The Queen bedroom has a shared bath (shower/tub combo) between the other bedroom which has a Duo Bunk Bed Set (double over double). The laundry area is in the center hall way. The back covered deck has stairs down to the ground level pool deck. There's deck furniture for spending shady afternoons and overlooking the pool deck below.
GROUND LEVEL:
The Lounge has a sleep sofa (Queen) if extra sleeping arrangements are needed. The garage has been turned into a Game Room (no inside parking) which offers a second refrigerator, a Ping Pong table, and a new Ms. Pac-Man® multi-game arcade to test your old-fashioned gaming skills. Guests may access the outdoors with a covered pool cabana area next to the private pool (10' x 23'). An outside shower and a separate half bath are located nearby. A gas grill is available to prepare easy family meals. There is parking for 3-4 vehicles in the driveway.

As a guest of the Monteray Shores community, your family will be able to make reservations online to use the community amenities. These amenities are available during business hours and include 2 community piers for small craft boat launch, fishing or crabbing (NC License is required), a children's playground, 3 basketball courts, 4 tennis/pickleball courts, adult and kiddie pool (summer only), and a fitness center.

This is a lovely new construction with a beautiful kitchen and third floor living room.Appreciated the cleanliness and amazing kitchen island!Also enjoyed the pool, hammocks and deck furniture outside.

We absolutely loved our stay at Summer Story! It was an amazing family vacation and the house was absolutely stunning! Upon walking in the first thing I noticed was that it was beautiful and so clean. The elevator was a major plus because we traveled with my parents who are older. We had ages from 70-4 and we all enjoyed our stay. Every last touch to this house was so well thought out and the finishes make you feel like you are in luxury! The pool was the absolute icing on the cake. The Bluetooth speakers outside were perfect for our pool days! The public beach was super close and very nice. I would give it 1000 stars if I could! Just a few comments…The pool stairs are extremely slick. We had kids and adults slipping down them and falling in the pool. I don’t know if there is something that could go on the steps that could act as a gripper…but it was a bit of a hazard. Also, the master bed on the 3rd floor was so soft that it was rather uncomfortable. It felt like we were in quicksand! I don’t know if maybe a topper could come off as a guest choice…but if you like a firmer mattress don’t choose this room!Neither of these things would make me deduct stars and neither would keep us from renting again. Just some comments that maybe can help other guests!
