Summary:
A chic beach shack. This simple home is steps to toes in the sand and comes with great beach chairs. A 2 bedroom/1 bath set appointed for short or long term stays. The apartment has 2 queen beds, feather pillows, sevenfold towels, all weather down duvets, central heat and air, a futon with linens, a private patio and a fabulous shared deck. Walk out your door turn right and walk onto the beach. Enjoy epic Chesapeake bay sunsets and the luxury of a quiet safe beach.
The Space:
Beach Construction Notice:
The City of Norfolk will begin a sand replacement project on Toler Place and Willoughby Beach (from 11th View St to the terminal groin) in response to significant erosion from recent high tides. Work will take place Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, beginning in late May 2025 and continuing through late July 2025. You will have to use the beach from 11th Bay and down to enjoy the beach.
Please be aware that the impacted section of the beach will be closed during work hours but will reopen in the evenings and on weekends. Alternate access to the beach is available via 11th View St and other nearby entry points.
Special things to note:
Pets allowed. $75 per pet per week. Pet fee is requested after booking.
Each apartment gets two parking spaces. Please request permission for more than 1 car.
Washer and Dryer are coin operated and in a shared laundry room.
The bay front deck is shared but your patio is private

Willoughby Spit is a great neighborhood to check out on foot or bike with water on both sides! Our side contains over 7 miles of uncrowded and awesome beaches with small waves right on the Chesapeake Bay.

Pet Policy
Most of our residences are pet friendly and welcome your four-legged companions. While most booking platforms include the pet fee upon reservation, any exclusions will be invoiced at $15 per pet per night for stays up to 30 days and $450 total for stays 31 days or longer. Kindly inform us of any pets joining your stay so we may update your reservation accordingly. We do love furry companions, but we do have some properties that are not pet-friendly. If you’re traveling with a pet please ensure this is a pet-welcoming home. If it is not, we’d be happy to recommend one of our many pet-friendly stays.

The apartment was clean, bedrooms were comfortable, easy beach access, area was quiet. Building was a little hard to find, and parking confusing at first, but since not all the units were occupied, it was not a problem.

Well, we had a rough start... our flight was delayed and we didn't get in till after 1:00 am. the code we were given didn't work and we were left standing outside and were pretty distraught. We called several times and were about to rent a hotel but then Sojourns responded with a new code ... apparently the internet went down and the code failed. We got a new code and entered the apt. the sojourns management company was kind and apologized. The apartment was clean and had little snacks waiting for us and nice water bottles in metal can - very nice touch. The front of the building isn't the best and people hang outside and smoke but the back is wonderful and I felt safe. They also provided nice dishes, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and toilet paper. It's the little things that show care. They checked on us later in the visit and after we left. I appreciate the good service. the beach is easy to access but if you have dogs beware because there are tons of sticker thorns growing on the path. The beach is lovely! I would go back here thanks mostly to Sojourns!

Very nice property at a shot of sandwedge distance to the beach ( about 100 yds). Clean and two bdrms with confortable beds.
Kitchen is basic with no pantry and cookware basic. If you plan on eating at homeit is very basic. Had to ask for salad bowl. Plus no dish rag nor dish towels.had to buy out own.
But all the basic is there.very quiet place.beach need to be cleaned up with lits of seaweeds.
