Pros: House is quiet, cozy, and comfortable with provided amenities/necessities. Not luxurious, but quaint, good for a couple of nights stay, and affordable. Cons: Well water, so pack water bottles with you.

The house was nice and roomy and felt very inviting. The water smelled so bad, it really ruined the experience. Please get that fixed. We could not shower or wash dishes or brush our teeth without almost vomiting.

Water at the house stinks like sulphur which makes the house smell like it. If you stay here you will need to bring your own bottled water for things like making coffee, brushing teeth, even cooking. The hottub did not work which was one of the main reasons we rented the place so that was disappointing. Reached out to the rental agency about it but never heard back. The house is spacious and was clean but it is a 30/40 minute drive from the hiking attractions at Hocking Hills. The house is also situated right on a road. Granted it’s a quiet back road but you don’t get the remote cabin vibes from this property. Overall a very mediocre stay at Hillside Hideaway.
