A mountain getaway in a sunny, completely peaceful spot with stunning views at 1,300 meters above sea level—that’s what awaits you at our Goldbergleiten alpine chalet. In this former mountain farmhouse—built using an ecologically exemplary and healthy solid-wood construction method and lovingly and carefully renovated—you’ll find peace, relaxation, and alpine adventures in crystal-clear, fog-free mountain air. And if you’d like, you can also enjoy exquisite culinary delights such as fondue or barbecue evenings, seafood dinners fresh from the Adriatic Sea, or gourmet wine testings from the host’s legendary wine cellar.
Mountain hikes, mountain bike tours, and—in the depths of winter—snowshoeing and ski tours are all possible right from your doorstep. The Heiligenblut-Grossglockner ski area is about a 15-minute drive away. Your children and dogs can play and run around to their hearts’ content. That’s because there’s no more car traffic here—behind us, there’s nothing but forest and nature. Still, the hiking trail takes you down to the little village of Sagritz in about 15 minutes, where you’ll find a tavern, shopping, and—in winter—a ski bus stop.

With 3 full-sized bedrooms, a rustic, spacious farmhouse living room featuring a wood-burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen, and a separate reading room, our alpine chalet offers plenty of space for up to 6 people to vacation and relax. Because we believe a mountain vacation should also include a touch of luxury—luxury in the form of time, space, and leisure... Unwind from everyday life, relax in a lounge chair on the large sun terrace, let your mind wander, and simply recharge your batteries...
By the way, the name Goldbergleiten comes from the Goldberg Group mountain range, at the foot of which our mountain chalet is located and where gold and silver mining was still actively carried out until just over 100 years ago. Even today, guests can try their hand at gold panning here in the summer—with a very realistic chance of success. Your hosts, Uli and Alla, look forward to your visit—and dogs aren’t just allowed here, they’re warmly welcome!

For you as a guest of our chalet, this means: Exclusive mountain and adventure tours with the national park rangers, free use of the gondola lifts during the summer season, free access to Carinthia’s most beautiful panoramic mountain roads, free admission to the Grosskirchheim water park and over 100 other museums, castles, and recreational attractions throughout the region. For children, there are special events that introduce them to the world of the mountains, animals, and the forest in a playful way.
