Looking for your own private town-home with no streets separating you from the Gulf of Mexico, but don’t want to give your arm and leg to stay there? Look no further than Southbay by the Gulf, Town-home #43. Southbay is a private community of individually owned town-homes complete with all the amenities: 300 feet private beach, two tennis courts with shuffle boards, two pools (one heated with adjoining children’s pool), and 5 acre fresh-water fishing lake. Feeding the fish, turtles, and ducks from right off the deck is allowed.
Walk right into the townhouse from your car parked out front. The guest bedroom has a full bath with 2 Queen beds, flat screen TV with DVD player. The master has a full bath with tub, king size bed, flat screen with DVD and a walk out deck over looking the lake. Upstairs is the living area with a well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, half bath, Flat screen TV with DVD player. You will also find a sleeper sofa and another futon at your disposal. Step out on the upper deck and enjoy both sunrise and sunsets.

We recently stayed at this townhouse and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything our family needed for a relaxing beach vacation.One of the biggest highlights was the included beach service. Not having to haul chairs and equipment back and forth each day made our beach time much more enjoyable. The townhouse itself was very nice, located in a quiet, safe area with no issues from noise or crowds. The pool was also a great amenity and was well-maintained.The location was especially convenient. We loved being able to walk next door for ice cream and Jersey Mike’s, and having shopping, a pancake house, and a pizza restaurant nearby made meals easy. The owners clearly put thought into stocking the property, as there were plenty of towels and many of the little extras that travelers often forget.There were only a couple of drawbacks. The primary shower drained very slowly, which was surprising because it seems like something that should have been noticed during cleaning or maintenance. Additionally, delivery drivers had a difficult time locating the townhouse, so guests may want to provide detailed directions when ordering food.It’s also worth noting that the beach is about a 7-minute walk away. While it isn’t directly beachfront, the walk is easy and there are no major roads to cross, making it very manageable for families.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. Our stay here in Destin was amazing. The house had everything you could ask for. Lake outback with plenty of fish and a bunch of very hungry turtles coming to greet you. Just a few minute walk over the lake bridge and you are on the private beach. Everything is close by within few minutes of driving. Will definately be back.

Great location close to the beach, pool, restaurants and local shopping. Beautifully decorated condo, we loved the cool beach vibe. Very well equipped if you want to cook at home. Streaming services were excellent. Loved sitting on the deck and watching the birds. Excellent communication from start to finish. We really loved this stay and plan to be back soon
