Casa Agnes

We had a truly wonderful stay in Bardonecchia, and this place captured everything you hope for in a mountain getaway. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a cosy, warm atmosphere with a real chalet feel—the kind of snug, snowy retreat you imagine when coming to the Alps. The apartment is charming and thoughtfully arranged, and one of our favourite details was the view: from the corner of the large window you catch a lovely glimpse of the mountains, with a small terrace looking towards the ski slopes. On one of the nights, snow fell quietly outside, and it gave the whole stay a poetic, almost magical feeling. We were also pleasantly surprised by how comfortable everything was. The sofa bed exceeded our expectations (which were honestly quite low, as they often are with sofa beds!)—it was genuinely comfortable and allowed us to rest properly after a full day in the snow. Everything was exactly as described, and there was an added sense of being in a historic, local Italian mountain village rather than a generic tourist accommodation. What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was the kindness and care of the hosts. The cleanliness was absolutely impeccable—truly 5-star. On top of that, the hosts were incredibly helpful throughout our visit, offering guidance and support whenever we needed it. The standout moment came at the end: after heavy snowfall the night before our departure, they kindly gave us a lift back to the train station purely out of generosity. It was an extra touch you rarely experience elsewhere, and it meant a great deal to us. All in all, a genuine 5-star stay. If you want to be right in the heart of town, surrounded by the charm of an old Italian mountain village, with excellent comfort and the best hosts you could wish for, this is the place. Highly recommended.

L’emplacement dans le vieux bourg, places de parking à proximité (en octobre)

Casseroles/ poêles inadapté pour deux personnes (trop grande) surtout au vu de la petite cuisine. Équipements très sommaire…

- fijn studio appartement, gezellig en met aandacht ingericht - rustig gelegen - goede slaapbank - bijzonder schoon - kleine keuken met nespresso apparaat, zonder waterkoker en magnetron - gelegen in de Borgo Vecchio, vlakbij restaurants en andere voorzieningen

- misleidende info op Booking.com: patio en balkon niet aanwezig, dit heeft ons weekendje weg aanzienlijk beinvloed - donker appartement waar nauwelijks zon komt - misleidende info op Google maps waar het verkeerde huis staat aangegeven. Bij de foto’s staat een streetview foto en als je daarop klikt en 30m “loopt” zie je het verkeerde huis namelijk een zonnig gelegen huis met balkons op het zuiden - In werkelijkheid ligt Casa Agnes in het gebouw hierachter. Het ligt op het oosten en heeft uitzicht op een ander woonhuis aan de andere kant van een smalle steeg. - Even lekker ontbijten op het balkon in het ochtendzonnetje is er dus helaas niet bij.

Casa Agnes è stato il valore aggiunto alla nostra settimana di sci a Bardonecchia. Agnese e Pino sono stati gentilissimi e disponibili in qualsiasi momento del nostro soggiorno. Sono anche stati pronti a consigliarci come trascorrere al meglio le nostre giornate a Bardonecchia. L'appartamento è raccolto e munito di tutto l'occorrente per rendere gradevole il soggiorno. Nonostante le giornate fredde, l'impianto di riscaldamento ha mantenuto costantemente una temperatura ottimale nell'appartamento. A pochi passi dall'appartamento è presente una fermata dei bus per raggiungere la stazione e gli impianti sciistici.
