By far the best place we have ever stayed at. Awesome scenery and house setup, the owners had thought of everything. So much wildlife surrounding the place as well. Very pricey but definitely worth it!
Nothing but perhaps some simple breakfast to go along with the bread

Absolutely fantastic location, and the way the interiors have been styled are fantastic. A very comfy and cosy stay on a cold nice. Great location to the waterfall and having the Bischoff Hotel a couple of doors down was fantastic. A really well curated space.
Possibly instead of the ability to make your own bread, maybe having some already made and stored in the freezer could have been a good idea.

Amazing stay, plenty of space, super comfy bed with beautiful linen, nice hot shower. All the little touches, fresh coffee, Madye tea selection, bread maker, fresh eggs, flowers!

We loved that the owners had thought of and provided plenty of utensils and serving ware for the kitchen, along with basic supplies like oil, salt and pepper, and coffee. It made cooking and preparing meals very easy. We also appreciated the bread ingredients and eggs provided on the first day. The decor of the property and the old world feel were simply stunning.
Thank you for hosting our stay. We did want to bring a few issues to your attention, as we believe they would be simple to address and would greatly improve the experience for future guests. Fridge and Freezer We were not advised that the fridge was not working. As the light was on, we did not think to check further. The following day, when we opened the fridge, we found that the milk and food had reached room temperature rather than being cold. In hindsight, we would have been better off leaving everything out on the bench. Advance notice that the fridge and freezer were not working, along with the bar fridge that we later found had been left as a replacement, would have been most helpful. Even a simple note on the bench from the cleaner would have brought this to our attention in time. As it was, we had to discard most of what we had purchased to avoid any risk of food poisoning, then drive to Burnie for more supplies, after paying $8 for a tin of soup from the local petrol station for lunch. Entertainment and amenities We were particularly looking forward to a cosy indoor winter stay, however the television is quite small and difficult to view comfortably from either the bed or the lounge, given its position in the room. We did use the vintage chairs provided, though we found them uncomfortable. It also would have been lovely to know about the board games in the wardrobe, as we only discovered these on our last day. Bedding The bed itself is comfortable, and the linens are lovely. However, we found the pillows to be lumpy and of poor quality, and we noticed there was no doona cover, only flat sheets placed on either side of the doona. This is not our preference, both for hygiene reasons and for keeping the bed covers in place. We hope this feedback is helpful.
