​My wife and I booked this Treebo hotel in an urgency for two nights, trusting the brand after a pleasant stay at another Treebo in Nagpur in February 2022. The online photos and high ratings set our expectations, but the reality was a complete and disturbing nightmare. ​From the start, the experience was "off." The entrance is confusingly hidden. The prominent signage is for an "A1 Bar and Restaurant," with the hotel entrance relegated to a dark staircase leading to the basement. ​Upon entering our "non-smoking" room, the cleanliness was superficial. The bathroom mat was old and worn, the single towel provided had noticeable brown stains, and the pillowcases and bedsheet were similarly stained and did not feel fresh. Most disturbingly, we discovered two used cigarette buds left on the bathroom window slab. This is a severe lapse in cleaning, but finding this in a non-smoking room while my wife is pregnant was deeply upsetting and felt incredibly unsafe. ​The next morning, we went to the 4th-floor breakfast area, and this is where the hotel's systemic failures became undeniable. The area was shocking—nothing like the glamorous photos. It was filthy, with visible garbage, spider webs, and even a used cigarette packet on the floor. ​The hygiene standards of the staff were appalling. A staff member was casually eating his own breakfast (applying jam to bread) right in the service area while supposedly managing the buffet. This is unacceptably unhygienic. The "buffet" consisted of only Upma and Alu Paratha. When we were leaving, fruits (bananas and papaya) were just arriving, but the staff member never bothered to inform us they were coming. All the plates were plastic white and had lots of scratches and brown marks, which looked filthy. Same was with bowls. ​ Our negative impressions were confirmed when the small (single) lift accidentally opened on the 2nd floor, revealing piles of kitchen garbage and filth right in the hallway. I can only imagine this is their kitchen or service area, and its condition is a serious health concern. ​The overall vibe of the hotel was one of filth and neglect. We felt so uncomfortable that we checked out a day early (around 11:30 AM on Oct 30) and moved to Radisson Blu, again booked on Agoda. ​When I tried to address the 1-night refund with the front desk, the staff member was completely unhelpful. I explained I had contacted Agoda, who stated they needed the hotel's permission to process the refund. The lady was evasive, claiming "refund is not given by us," "you should check online," and "we don't get Agoda's email, it goes to Treebo." She took no ownership, and Agoda's follow-ups have since been met with silence from the hotel. ​The most audacious part of this entire experience? As I was checking out, the staff member, after hearing my "okayish" review of the stay, asked me to scan a QR code to leave a Google review and—incredibly—to provide a screenshot of my review to her. This practice is manipulative and shows a complete disconnect from genuine customer service. ​This stay was not just a disappointment; it was a disturbing experience that exposed serious hygiene, safety, and management failures. This specific hotel is tarnishing the Treebo name, a brand I had previously trusted. I have photographic evidence of these issues and expect a formal response and action from Treebo's corporate customer care.
