At the Hardanger Fartøyvernsenter museum, you can gain an insight into the local boat-building history, row traditional wooden boats from the area and learn how to make ropes. The famous fruit blossom takes place in Hardanger in May. The Kvamskogen mountain plateau with several ski lifts and groomed cross-country ski trails in winter, as well as the mountain peaks of Vesoldo, Tørvikanuten and Tveitakvitingen are wonderful hiking destinations.
