Villa Buerk Serena Suite Bed & Breakfast, Wi-Fi, Pool

Very nice and accommodating hosts. Excellent breakfast made to order. Place was clean and staff was very attentive. Really nice plants in the garden and around the pool. Not your standard resort hotel, but a very eclectic experience.

While close to everything, the access to the compound is a bit hidden down a dirt road. Several cab and Uber drivers needed to be given detailed direction. Villa Buerk’s nearest public beach access is about a 15-20 min walk. Was not an issue for me at this trip, but may be important for some guests.

Amazing location, a true oasis of peace in busy Mombasa. The room is beautiful and spacious, with a comfortable seating area. The bathroom is also large and very clean; the shower has a strong water pressure and can get wonderfully hot (which is a real luxury in Mombasa). The accommodation is located within a walled compound, which makes it feel very safe. The garden is charming and green, with several cozy seating areas and plenty of privacy. There is also a lovely swimming pool with clear and clean water that is maintained daily. The breakfast is extensive and of high quality. They take extra wishes or dietary preferences into account. We enjoyed having breakfast in the garden every morning. The host and hostess, together with their staff, are incredibly friendly and very hospitable. They truly go the extra mile to make your stay pleasant. It is a place where you immediately feel welcome. We can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay in Mombasa.
