Garuda Villa

The house is located in a convenient, secure location and close to restaurants and supermarkets. Our hosts were super accommodating and attended to our needs adequately.

Not much but maybe an additional aircon in the open living area (downstairs) as it got very hot in the house during our stay in December

A very conveniently located villa to explore north Mauritius. Lovely town around with a beautiful beach (Trois Oux Biches) maybe 10mins walk. There’s also parking by the beach and plenty of cafes/restaurants/shops on the way. Get an amazing ayurvedic massage 2mins down the road at Sannyasa. The house is secure, with private parking, a lovely front garden and a clean pool. The open living space is lovely, kitchen is well stocked. All bedrooms with comfortable beds and aircon. We had a 3 year old with us and they provided a large cot with mosquito netting. The owners showed exceptional hospitality, providing flexibility around check in, coming personally to meet us and see us off.

The space around the pool is quite small, not much space / outdoor furniture for lounging. Some bedrooms don’t have closets. Minor issues really and didn’t impact our stay

We had a great time in this place! The villa was very clean, new and spacious. The beds was very big and comfortable. We stayed there more than one week. We arrived at evening, but it was not a problem, a very kind persons waited for us. :-) The villa had all the required facilities (towels, washing machine, dishwasher, disches...) And the location is perfect and calm. Location is about 5-8 minutes away from the beach, supermarket, restaurants, cafe and shops. I reccomend this villa and hope to I will comming back sometimes.

Bra villa i lagom storlek för 6 vuxna och 2 barn. Värden var bra och fixade lite extra saker så som barnsäng, barnstol och lite plastmöbler så vi kunde sitta utomhus.

Huset låg inte alls där dem hade angett, värden skyllde på boning.com när vi ville ha kompensation för att ha blivit lurade. Vi blev väldigt besvikna på hur dem hanterade det och dem erkände att en annan som bokat tidigare hade påpekat att huset inte alls låg på den plats som var angivet. Enligt bokningen låg det direkt vid stranden, läste man texten så var det en promenad på nästan 5 minuter. Det tar 10 minuter och med 2 små barn som vi hade med oss, 15 minuter. Vi ville därför ha kompensation, boendet erbjöd inget och booking tyckte att 25€ i voucher var rimligt som kompensation. Vår bokning kostade nästan 2200€. Boendets ägare hade enkelt kunnat kompensera oss på plats, rimligt hade varit 50€ per natt. Köket kunde varit bättre utrustat i form av redskap och så. Poolen gjordes inte rent trots att vi påpekade det, den behövde dammsugas på botten. Jag fick själv försöka använda hoven men det blev inte rent på botten. Huset saknade också ställen att hänga av sig på lite krokar och så. Huset har mycket potential men det kräver en del jobb för att få ett riktigt bra semesterhus som är lätt att bo i under sin semester.
